Things to do in Swakopmund, Namibia

    By Geena Visagie
    December 10, 2021

Swakopmund is one of my all time favourite travel destinations. Although I mostly go there to relax and unwind, it can get boring relaxing for 5 days straight. Thus I have put together a few things you can do in and around Swakopmund:

    1. Desert Explorers Quad Biking

From 45 minutes to 3 hours, your options are endless and so is the excitement. Why not make this a trip with your friends or family and just enjoy the dunes touching the sandy shores of the Atlantic and the never-ending edges of the Namib.

    2. Kristall Galerie

With Gemstones for every mood, you'll be shocked to see the beauties in this place. I'm always fascinated by how stunning these rocks are. With a lot of information and jewellery, this is a great outing for the kids too.

    3. Living Desert Snake Park

For a snake lover, this is the ultimate place to be. It is super interesting and definitely worth it. I don't have much to say about it, you'll just have to see it for yourself.

    4. Eco-Gliding Tours

A really fun way to get to know this town, even if you are a regular. And on the plus side its Eco friendly! The tour is 1 hour long and you get to do some great sight seeing.

I really hope you get to see some of the few places I listed. There are still many more great activities in Swakopmund. Comment which one is your favourite!
