The Go4Gold Leadership Programme 2025 officially commenced, marking the start of a transformative journey for a new cohort of ambitious Gondwana leaders dedicated to personal and professional growth. Just six weeks after the Go4Gold Team 2024 concluded their year with final project presentations in November, the next generation of leaders has taken the first step with Module 1 of this year-long programme.
Gondwana Collection Namibia CEO, Gys Joubert, set an inspiring tone for the challenge ahead, urging participants to embrace discomfort as a driving force for transformation: “I cannot wait to witness your transformation at the end of this year. It will not be easy, you will experience self-doubt, and there will be times when you want to give up. But growth never comes with comfort. So please promise me to choose courage over comfort.”
The first of six modules focused on self-discovery, helping participants to uncover deeply rooted beliefs and evaluate how these beliefs influence their decisions and leadership styles. By fostering self-awareness as a foundation, the programme encourages participants to lead with authenticity and purpose.
As Gondwana’s advanced leadership programme, Go4Gold is designed to shape the next generation of leaders by instilling the company’s core leadership principles. “Leadership is a verb—it is action, and it is a choice. At Gondwana, we believe that leadership is about influence, and influence comes with immense responsibility. Our goal is to help individuals unlock their full potential so they can create meaningful impact within Gondwana and beyond,” explained Ume Goldbeck, the programme leader.
Participants of Go4Gold 2025 have set ambitious personal and professional goals for the year ahead, embracing the bold philosophy championed by Joubert: “If your goals don’t scare you, they are not big enough.”
