Invitation to the Game Count in the Gondwana Kalahari Park

By Gondwana Collection
March 07, 2022

Gondwana Collection Namibia invites you to the annual game count in the Gondwana Kalahari Park from 17 to 19 June 2022, after the event had to be cancelled last year. The game count, which starts from Kalahari Anib Lodge, provides the Park Management with valuable data on game numbers and biodiversity.

The 98 km² private nature reserve is home to numerous animals such as giraffe, springbok, gemsbok, eland, wildebeest, jackal and bat-eared fox as well as ostrich, Kori bustard and many other bird species.

The park is managed on the basis of a scientifically sound wildlife programme and monitored by the qualified Park Management Team. The aim is to increase biodiversity and restore the natural balance of the ecosystem.

The Gondwana Kalahari Park is located 30 km northeast of Mariental. After many years of drought, it has rained in the past two years, the pasture has recovered and presumably also the game population.

If you are interested in participating in a professional game count and gaining insights into Gondwana's Park Management programme, then book your weekend at Kalahari Anib Lodge from 17 to 19 June 2022.

Details of the programme and accommodation, as well as prices, can be found here.
