    Gondwana Care Trust

    The Gondwana Care Trust Journey

    By Gondwana Collection
    May 23, 2024

Every remarkable journey begins with a humble start. Over a decade ago, a few Gondwana women embarked on a path driven by the desire to help those in need. What began as a modest initiative quickly transformed into a powerful force for good. The Gondwana Memes was founded with the goal of empowering and inspiring individuals to believe in themselves and to pursue their dreams.

Reflecting back, our foundation was always rooted in compassion, upliftment, integrity, and a strong commitment to giving back while making a meaningful impact. Starting with small-scale projects, we evolved into the Gondwana Care Trust, and after ten years of dedication and with a dynamic Gondwana team, the sky is the limit. The trust in our brand, our ongoing efforts, and commitment captured the attention and support from like-minded individuals and organisations, locally and internationally. Our partners trust in our vision and goals, knowing the impact is measurable.

Through the provision of stationery materials, equipment, school furniture, classroom construction, and an annual effort that holds a special place in my heart— the Back-to-School Christmas Bag Project—we are able to expand access to education. By 2024, 20,000 children will have benefited from what began as a modest shoebox project. Each child receives a personalised bag containing stationery, hygiene supplies, sweet treats, and, of course, a toy or Christmas gift according to their age.

In addition, our MealForTwo Project was launched in 2017. The Trust provides food assistance to communities throughout Namibia, offering a warm meal when most needed. The Gondwana Care Trust presently provides monthly food support to over 40 projects.

The Trust also supports several youth initiatives, schools, old age homes, orphanages, and incredible health and awareness campaigns.

Even though the Trust has grown into a well-known organisation, we never forget our modest origins. We put an emphasis on community-based initiatives and cultivate strong bonds with the areas we serve, particularly through our Gondwana lodges. We constantly strive to provide a human touch to our care.

Today, the Gondwana Care Trust exemplifies what can be achieved when love, strategic vision, teamwork, and a passion for giving back come together. Our story of rising from modest beginnings to impact-driven initiatives inspires us to make a difference. The Gondwana Care Trust demonstrates that there are countless opportunities for positive change through our continued efforts, influence, and support.

    From a loving Gondwana Meme
