At Gondwana Collection Namibia, our commitment has always extended beyond tourism. We believe that the success of our lodges and experiences is deeply connected to the well-being of the communities and conservancies we work with. This belief has shaped our long-standing partnerships with conservancies across Namibia, where we actively invest in initiatives that support people, infrastructure, and local development.
Community development and social upliftment
For Gondwana Collection, conservation and community well-being go hand in hand. Through our conservancy partnerships, we’ve invested in projects that uplift communities and improve livelihoods.
One of the most impactful initiatives was the construction of a community clinic in the Kunene Region, known as the Palmwag Conservancy. This facility provides essential healthcare services to surrounding communities, addressing one of the region’s long-standing needs.

Capacity building and skills training
Creating opportunities for individuals to grow and succeed in central to Gondwana Collection’s community-focused approach. Through our conservancy collaborations, we run training programmes in hospitality, lodge management, and guiding, aimed at equipping both our lodge teams and surrounding community members with valuable, transferable skills.
These programmes open doors for sustainable employment opportunities in the tourism sector and beyond, helping to strengthen economic resilience in rural areas.
Operational support and resource sharing
Effective conservancy management often depends on reliable resources and operational tools. Recognising this, Gondwana Collection has donated vehicles to the Palmwag conservancies, specifically Sesfontein, Anabeb, and Torra. These vehicles assist with day-to-day operations, community outreach, and conservancy management tasks, ensuring that these areas remain well-supported and connected.
Long-term, trusted partners
At the heart of Gondwana’s conservancy initiatives is a belief in lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships. Our relationships with Sesfontein, Anabeb, and Torra, also known as the Big-3 Conservancies in the Palmwag Concession, are a leading example of how consistent support and shared values can create meaningful, long-term impact.
These partnerships go beyond financial contributions; they are built on collaboration, shared decision-making, and a commitment to sustainable development that benefits entire communities.

Looking ahead
As Gondwana Collection continues to grow, so does our commitment to working alongside conservancies and community groups throughout the country. Whether it’s through training initiatives, infrastructure development, operational support, or community projects, our goal remains the same: to create opportunities, uplift communities, and contribute to a sustainable, inclusive future for Namibia.
