Sometimes, even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
Every year, thousands of Namibians and their families are affected by cancer. Behind every diagnosis is a story of resilience, support, and hope.
Through the Cancer Apple initiative by Bank Windhoek, everyday purchases are transformed into practical support for the Cancer Association of Namibia. By simply buying a Cancer Apple, Namibians contribute towards cancer awareness, patient support, and care services that help individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments.
This year, the Gondwana Care Trust proudly supported the initiative by purchasing N$10,000 worth of Cancer Apples, which were distributed to local partners across Namibia’s coastal and central regions. While an apple may seem like a small gesture, collective contributions like these continue to create real impact in communities across the country.

Supporting Cancer Awareness and Care in Namibia
Cancer remains one of Namibia’s growing health challenges, affecting people from all walks of life. Beyond medical treatment, many families also need emotional support, practical assistance, and access to reliable information throughout their cancer journey.
The Cancer Apple Project helps raise both funds and awareness for these essential support services. Every contribution strengthens programmes that many Namibians quietly rely on during challenging times.
Initiatives like these remind us that community support matters. Whether it is purchasing a single apple, making a donation, or helping spread awareness, every action contributes to a larger movement of care and compassion.

Gondwana Care Trust’s Commitment to Community Support
At the heart of the Gondwana Care Trust is a commitment to uplifting communities through meaningful partnerships and practical support initiatives. Participating in the Cancer Apple Project aligns with the Trust’s broader mission of supporting health, wellbeing, and social care efforts across Namibia.
By partnering with initiatives such as the Cancer Apple campaign, theCare Trust hopes to encourage more people to get involved and support organisations making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
How You Can Make a Difference

Small actions, when multiplied across communities, can create lasting change. Together, we can continue supporting cancer awareness, care, and hope for families across Namibia.
