The Best Fishing Spots in Namibia
The beautiful country of Namibia is a hotspot for local and tourist anglers, and for a...
Gondwana lodges are run as tight-knit groups with close connections to their surrounding communities in Namibia. This makes our commitment to social responsibility and community support fundamental to the way our company is run as we have always strived to make a positive difference to our environment and communities. The Gondwana Care Trust currently supports different projects across Namibia.
We are committed to Social Responsibility and Community Support
Our efforts include the donation of food, clothing, bedding, educational products for schools and support of important environmental causes. Furthermore, Gondwana assists with smaller building projects for school facilities in the vicinity of their lodges, sponsors prizes for award giving ceremonies and welcomes groups of learners free of charge in their lodges.
With the establishment of the Trust, we hope to increase public awareness of our projects and to provide a channel for other like-minded people and businesses to get involved and enhance the good we are able to do.
Our commitment to social upliftment is also visible in the wide range of Namibian products in our lodges’ souvenir shops and in the joint projects with local communities.

Many Namibians end their days with empty stomachs. With the MealForTwo Project we aim to reduce the number of people for whom this is a daily reality. The Care Trust distributes the excess meat from Gondwana’s Self-Sufficiency Centre in Stampriet to soup kitchens, orphanages, schools and hostels. The Trust has found reliable partners for the MealForTwo project in Bank Windhoek and Global United but aims to expand its feeding scheme by including more vegetables and sustainable food items and is thus looking for more partners to take this project one step further.
The Gondwana Care Trust runs a School Bag Project every year, during which stationary and a few treats and sustainable food stuffs are sponsored and these are placed into a reusable bag. The bags are donated to vulnerable children across the country for Christmas, so that they may start their school year with a basic stationary kit and bag. Want to get involved? Support the project by ‘buying’ and donating a bag online or at any Gondwana Collection property for a mere N$200.00.
You can also find us on Pay Today under "Gondwana Care Trust" to donate.
