Upon entering the Canyon Roadhouse, you'll be greeted by a truck repurposed as the reception desk, a lively bar, and an array of classic vehicles and transportation memorabilia cleverly arranged. Tables are thoughtfully interspersed, and the car cabs double as quirky fireplaces during the winter chill.

Twenty-four spacious and inviting rooms encircle charming courtyards, offering a comfortable and convenient retreat. A refreshing swimming pool awaits weary travellers after a day of exploration. Indulge in delectable Roadhouse specialties like Amarula Cheesecake and savour the finest cappuccino for miles around on the lovely terrace.

Morning/Afternoon Canyon Drive

Especially for guests who want a break from the wheel or those on a fly-in safari. You are taken to the two major lookout points along the Fish River Canyon. Our guide will tell you all about the canyon's fascinating geology. Refreshments, a light snack and all park entry fees are included.

Sunrise Hike (guided)

We drive you to a spot with a grand view where you can enjoy coffee or tea and rusks while watching the sunrise against the unique backdrop of Gondwana Canyon Park. This is followed by a walk of about one hour back to the lodge. This tour does not include the Fish River Canyon.

This self-drive takes you on marked roads through the Gondwana Canyon Park. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and look out for the many wild animals that call this nature park home. A trail map is provided. Please ensure to leave the Gondwana Canyon Park before sunset.
