In the spirit of holistic well-being and team connection, Gondwana Collection Namibia recently hosted a vibrant and multifaceted Wellness Day. Far from a standard workplace event, the day was a dynamic mix of movement, mindfulness, education and empowerment affirming our commitment to employee wellness in every sense of the word.
The morning kicked off with a light yet energising 20-minute fitness session that welcomed Gondwana employees of all fitness levels. Less of a typical high-intensity workout, instead, it was more about intuitive movement, deep breathing, and just the right dose of bounce to reawaken the body, sharpen mental clarity, and boost connection among colleagues.
Klara Mudge, a certified health coach and founder of Both Sides Buttered led the sessions with her calm, informed approach to wellness. Klara delivered a concise yet impactful talk titled “Top 5 Tips for Realistic, Enjoyable Healthier Living”. Rather than promoting rigid diets or extreme regimens, her insights were grounded in simplicity, balance and sustainability encouraging everyone to reframe wellness as something achievable and enjoyable, even with busy schedules.

But physical health was only one part of the Wellness Day experience. The event featured a series of informative stalls and partners who offered valuable insights into other essential aspects of well-being.
Financial health often goes unnoticed in wellness conversations, yet it plays a crucial role in reducing stress and empowering long-term planning. PSG Wealth was present to demystify investment and savings, helping everyone to understand how to take charge of their financial future. Hanli Jacobs, Director at PSG Wealth, offered practical advice on starting early, exploring financial products, and building towards a stable and fulfilling retirement.

Vision health was brought into focus by Oculus, a specialist eye care provider. Their representative engaged employees on the importance of regular eye exams, early detection of vision problems, and getting the correct prescription underscoring that eye care is not a luxury, but a vital part of one’s overall health plan.

Reminding us of the power of giving, NamBTS made a strong case for regular blood donation. Their team highlighted that a single blood donation can save up to three lives and educated staff on the ease and impact of becoming a regular donor. It was a grounding moment an opportunity to reflect on how wellness also means showing up for the community.

Blue Cross Dental Practice also participated, highlighting the importance of oral health and regular dental care in overall wellness. Employees got the opportunity to receive a consultation and encouraged them to maintain healthy habits, schedule regular check-ups, and understand how dental wellbeing connects with general health.
Gondwana Collection’s Wellness Day was about more than individual wellbeing, it was about strengthening team spirit and cultivating a culture where employees feel supported, valued and empowered to take care of themselves. Whether through movement, meaningful conversation, financial planning or health screening, each activity reinforced our belief that healthy teams are strong teams. In the meantime, remember to stretch, breathe, invest (in every sense), and take that lunch break walk you deserve it.
