On 14 January 2025, the management of Kalundu Kindergarten, along with the Kalundu Village Community, came together to celebrate a special milestone, the official handover of a second newly constructed building block. This project was made possible through the generous support of the Gondwana Care Trust.

More than just a new addition to the kindergarten, this building represents the power of collaboration and the shared commitment to creating a better future for children in rural communities. The event was a moment of joy and gratitude, highlighting the impact that working together can have in driving sustainable development.

Hon. Albius Milinga Kamwi, a senior resident of Kalundu Village, shared a heartfelt account of the kindergarten’s history. He recalled its establishment in 2006 and the many challenges the community faced to provide quality early childhood education. His speech highlighted the strength and determination of the people of Kalundu, emphasising the importance of investing in education for future generations.
