The Gondwana Care Trust has once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering Namibian communities through education and compassion. In a heartfelt gesture of support, the Trust donated seven refurbished computers and four tablets, valued at N$47,000 to The Promiseland Trust Centre in Walvis Bay’s Tutaleni area. The donation providing vulnerable children with vital access to technology and digital learning tools.
All the computers were updated and equipped with educational software and games designed to help children develop foundational computer skills, literacy, and numeracy. The younger learners can now explore interactive tools that teach letters and numbers through play, while the older students use the tablets for research and exam preparation.

With all computers now connected to Wi-Fi and preloaded with essential educational programs, The Promiseland homework room has been transformed into a vibrant hub of digital learning.
Promiseland has long been a sanctuary for vulnerable children. Since purchasing a home in 2009 and transforming it into the Promiseland Centre, the Trust has provided food, care, and a safe haven for hundreds of children. What began as a modest soup kitchen has grown into a vibrant community centre with a large kitchen, storage facility, and play area that nurtures both body and mind.
The partnership between Gondwana Care Trust and Promiseland began in 2022 through the Meal for Two programme. This collaboration has since allowed the kitchen to serve up to 500 children every school day, ensuring that growing minds are nourished and ready to learn. During school holidays, the centre continues to serve around 250 children daily, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to consistent care.
