Job Role:
The purpose of this role is to maintain all new and existing supplier rates (both internal and 3rd party), as well as information and description pertaining to booking policies, contact details and supplier changes.
Supplier and Rates:
Request and update rates as per the requirement for new supplier developments (SADC based suppliers – Namibia, Botswana, Vic Falls)
Manage and maintain Supplier List (scope, screen and selection)
Managing the rates uploads and TourPlan database of GCN and Third party products
Ensure all rate loading is consistent and accurately done (on regular and ad-hoc basis
Support Ops Team Lead with changes from Third Parties (policies and rates etc.)
Quality Control together with Ops Lead on Rates loaded
Responsible for annual Rate Audit with Ops Team Lead
Administrative Support:
First line of support to all TRAVEL CENTRE Team Leaders and Consultants
Ensure enquiries are thoroughly investigated and followed up
Ensure teams regularly partake in training schedules set out by Systems (refresher training as well as advancement in training)
Provide guidance and training to teams on best practice for Rates utilisation
Requirements for Role:
Matric
3 -5 years in Administrative / IT related/ systems administration role within Tourism (preferred)
Very Good Verbal and Communication Skills
Above Average Computer Literacy, basic knowledge of TourPlan / InnKeeper or booking systems an advantage
Ability to work on deadlines and under pressure
Should be able to work in a very fast paced environment
Attention to detail / keen eye for data
Experience within the travel industry will be advantageous
