The Position:
The Termination Agent is responsible for handing over and returning vehicles. Ensuring that guests are given a proper hand over upon collection and a throughout inspection is done upon return.
Positional Expectations:
Once the Rental Agents has explained the rental contract, ensure a proper handover of the vehicle is given to guests. Show guests features of the vehicle and answer any questions that they may have.
Upon return of the vehicle, a proper inspection of the vehicle must be done with the guests. Ensure that the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel and damages are personal belongings, identify any items found in the vehicle and return to lost and found. Ensure the rental contract has been closed and fuel deposit is released.
Ensure that all vehicles that have gone through a proper inspection and job cards have been open are moved to the maintenance depot.

The Position:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and overall upkeep of luxury pods in Swakopmund, Namibia. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong understanding of the high standards expected in upscale hospitality environments. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the cleaning of the pods, window cleaning, laundry, and porter duties.
The candidate will also be responsible for greeting and welcoming all guests to the hotel and assisting guests of their luggage on arrival. You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality are demonstrated at all times and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt manner.

1. Identifying Skills Gaps and Hiring Needs: The process begins with an internal skills audit, where Gondwana Collection's People Team and Departmental Heads assess the current talent pool to identify skills gaps or vacancies that need to be filled. This step ensures that the hiring process is targeted, addressing the specific needs of the company, whether in guest services, hospitality management, or marketing.
2. Formulate Job Profile and Advertise Job Openings: After identifying the need for new hires, the next step is to formulate a detailed job profile. This profile outlines the key responsibilities, required qualifications, and desired competencies. Gondwana Collection emphasises creating profiles that reflect not only technical skills but also alignment with their core values of environmental responsibility and excellence in service.Once finalised, the job openings are advertised on the company’s website, relevant job portals, and social media platforms to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
3. Review and Screen Applications; Create Shortlist: The Talent team would conduct a comprehensive screening of the incoming applications. During this stage, they evaluate applicants based on their resumes and cover letters, ensuring that the skills and experiences highlighted align with the job descriptions. The most qualified candidates are then placed on a shortlist for further consideration.
4. Interview Potential Candidates: The shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews, which may include a combination of phone screenings, video interviews, or in-person interviews. Gondwana Collection’s interview process typically involves behavioural-based questions to assess how candidates would respond to real-life situations, in line with the company’s philosophy of sustainable tourism and community involvement. Select the Most Suitable Candidate: After conducting interviews, the People Team, along with relevant department heads, engages in a collaborative discussion to evaluate each candidate’s performance and overall suitability for the role. 6. Evaluation for Lodge-Based Candidates: Once the suitable candidate has been selected, the candidate is sent for a trial week. A trial week, is a procedure where the candidate is sent to the selected lodge for 7 to 14 days for evaluation and to determine the adaptability to the team, company - as well as determining the candidate’s skill-level.
7. Evaluation of Employment Offer: Once the most suitable candidate is identified, the People Team extends an offer of employment. This offer is carefully crafted to reflect the role’s responsibilities, the company’s compensation philosophy, and the candidate’s qualifications. Candidates are encouraged to evaluate the offer and negotiate where necessary to ensure mutual satisfaction and long-term alignment.
8. Onboarding: Upon acceptance of the employment offer, the onboarding process begins. Gondwana Collection Namibia prioritises a smooth transition for new employees through a structured onboarding programme. New team members receive orientation - are introduced to the company’s mission and values, and undergo relevant training to ensure they are well-prepared to contribute effectively from day one.
