The online travel portal HolidayCheck has awarded the HolidayCheck Award to numerous accommodations of the Gondwana Collection Namibia. The most outstanding rating of 5.7 out of 6 suns was achieved by Canyon Village and Klein-Aus Vista Eagle's Nest Chalets followed by The Delight Swakopmund, Canyon Lodge and Kalahari Anib Lodge (5.6 each).
Further top ratings were given to Canyon Roadhouse, Chobe River Camp, Damara Mopane Lodge, Etosha Safari Camp, Etosha Safari Lodge, Hakusembe River Lodge, Kalahari Farmhouse, Klein-Aus Vista Desert Horse Inn, Namib Desert Lodge and Namushasha River Lodge.
The HolidayCheck Award honours the most popular hotels in a particular region every year. More than 950,000 guest ratings from the period 1 December 2017 to 30 November 2018 form the basis for the Award 2019. Minimum criteria for the HolidayCheck Award include a recommendation rate of at least 90% and an overall rating of at least 5 out of 6 suns. A popularity ranking is used to award the 10 most popular hotels per region.
With 6.2 million unique users (May 2019, Statista Research Department), HolidayCheck is the largest German-language hotel rating portal and offers information, exchange of opinions and booking options for travel and holidays on the Internet.
