The indigenous communities of the Spitzkoppe area are largely reliant on Tourism in the Spitzkoppe area for income. Due to Covid, these communities had no access to income. The MealForTwo project supported 56 food-insecure households with food parcels.
Based on the outskirts of Karibib, this programme has 87 children enrolled. The project is supported by MealForTwo and is also a beneficiary of the Back-to-School Christmas Bag Project.
This centre provides pre-primary education and afterschool support in the DRC location, in Swakopmund. Approximately 91 learners are enrolled on an annual basis. The organisation also provides the learners with a daily meal. This porject is a beneficiary of the Back-to-School Christmas Bag Project.
Following a devastating fire in the Twaloloka community in Kuisebmund, TASK was founded to support the local families. The organisation provides three meals per week to almost 200 children between Kuiseb and Narraville in Walvis Bay.
They are supported by MealForTwo, and have received ESB stoves in support of their meal preparation at Soup Kitchens.
Based in the DRC location in Swakopmund, this organisation provides training and upskilling for women, and offer a platform from which they can sell their wares. The Kindergarten caters to approximately 30 children. The community-based organisation also supports a few food-insecure households, enabled by MealForTwo
The kindergarten is also a Back-to-School Christmas Bag Project beneficiary.
