Experience unparalleled warmth in hospitality, where timeless elegance meets modern luxury, all while championing environmental sustainability. The Weinberg Windhoek proudly holds the highest environmental accolade from Eco Awards Namibia.

The prestigious Five “Green” Flowers award, established by Eco Awards Namibia in 2018, celebrates tourism enterprises committed to exemplary environmental practices. As Eco Awards Namibia puts it: “The Five Green flowers were introduced in order to give special recognition to those establishments, who scored Five Flowers overall, but on top of that, scored 90% or more for the environmental criteria sections, namely Water, Energy, Waste Management and Conservation.”

Managed by Gondwana Collection Namibia, The Weinberg Windhoek offers a harmonious blend of city vibrancy and African tranquility, ensuring guests indulge with a clear conscience. Its versatile facilities and prime location near Windhoek’s city center make it an ideal choice for both leisure and corporate gatherings.

Gondwana Collection Namibia has been on a relentless journey to enhance sustainability across its accommodations since its inaugural participation in Eco Awards back in 2011. Notably, seven other Gondwana properties have also achieved the coveted Five Green Flowers status, including Namib Desert Lodge, Namib Dune Star Camp, Desert Whisper, The Desert Grace, The Delight Swakopmund, Namushasha River Lodge, and Namushasha River Villa.

While most Gondwana accommodations proudly bear the Five Flowers rating, a few others are awaiting their recent evaluations from Eco Awards Namibia.

Eco Awards Namibia stands as a beacon of sustainable tourism certification, a collaborative effort between the private sector and governmental bodies. The rigorous evaluation process, conducted every three years, encompasses not only environmental stewardship but also factors in human resources, social responsibility, and legal compliance. Participation in this esteemed program is voluntary, reflecting a commitment to ongoing improvement and accountability within the tourism industry.
