Jeans for Hope: Gondwana Collection supports MS Awareness Campaign

Written by Gondwana Collection | Aug 1, 2025 2:58:46 PM
Today, Gondwana Collection Namibia's staff participated in the Jeans for Hope awareness campaign.

Initiated by Multiple Sclerosis Namibia, the campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for Namibians living with multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system. This event is driven by findings that every 5 minutes, someone in the world is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and highlights that Namibians are also affected by this condition.

To show support, the staff wore jeans and has also donated funds to MS Namibia.
"By participating in 'Jeans for Hope, we stand in solidarity with Namibians living with Multiple Sclerosis. Each pair of jeans worn is a step toward greater awareness, understanding, and hope. Through this simple act, we wish to contribute meaningfully and bring visibility to a broader national conversation of a condition often overlooked, and affirm the importance of education and support in shaping a more informed and compassionate society." Terttu Newaka, Public Relations and Communications Associate.

Those who wish to participate in this meaningful initiative are also welcome to wear jeans and join the MS social media campaign using #JeansForHopeNam25, as well as like the MS Namibia Facebook page and also share awareness posts to help spread the word.
