Hosting for the second time, this year the BAR-HP Festival will be taking place on 27-29 May 2022, headlined by German DJ, Patrik Berg, who is a prevalent and influential figure in the techno music scene in Cologne. He will also be joined other notable DJs such as Coyote Duo, Savanna and Talia as well as Dylan Munro. The festival is taking place at Spitzkoppe, which is a group of bald granite peaks or inselbergs located north-west of Swakopmund.

This is a community-driven festival, which revels in music and several types of artistic lexes. The organising team and creators, Eloïse Sitler, Shafa Shaimemanya and Melkies Ausiku wholeheartedly consider music and astonishing landscapes to have the capability to unfetter, restore and unify. More so, occasions of this nature remind one of the gift and importance of life. Additionally, it is a fitting way to celebrate life with a music festival, which brings people from various backgrounds as well as from different parts of the world together. It is for this reason that Gondwana Collection sponsored the festival with two Namibia2Go vehicles and accommodation in order for DJs to discover the beauty of Namibia after the festival.
This year BAR-HP Festival aims and hopes to host 300-400 attendees, with tickets varying from camping to glamping options and limited tickets are available for each category.
