Gondwana Collection Namibia successfully concluded its Go4Gold Academy 2023, demonstrating its commitment to fostering team growth and the invaluable contributions of its members. Dedicated to continual improvement, Gondwana once again provided its team members with an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge while advancing within the company.

In 2015, the company inaugurated its in-house hospitality training academy and currently enrolls senior team members in the Go4Gold programme - a tailored leadership initiative designed for Gondwanians holding pivotal leadership positions within the organization.

The Go4Gold program, initiated four years ago and held at Moonraker Outdoor Adventure Camp on the outskirts of Windhoek, is led by Ume Goldbeck. Ume focuses on nurturing leadership capabilities by fostering self-confidence and enhancing participants' self- and social-awareness skills. Additionally, Manni Goldbeck shares decades-worth of wisdom acquired in the tourism industry.

Throughout the years, numerous Gondwanians have completed this comprehensive one-year hospitality coaching and mentoring program, consisting of six modules, each spanning five days, on-the-job projects, and culminating in a final project presented to Gondwana directors and team leaders by year-end.

Upon completion of the program, team leaders are better equipped to address audiences, make informed decisions, and guide their teams with poise. Ume Goldbeck emphasizes, "The primary focus of the Go4Gold program is to develop individual potential and cultivate enduring positive teamwork experiences."

Continuing, Ume Goldbeck remarked, "We aim to nurture the talents of Gondwana’s people, fostering mindfulness, self-assurance, effective leadership, superior self- and social-awareness, and essential management expertise. This empowers them to comprehend the tourism industry, benefiting both the Gondwana Collection Namibia and the country as a whole."

Following a year of dedicated effort, the Go4Gold participants presented their final projects to invited guests. These projects not only marked a significant milestone but also served as catalysts for future endeavors, showcasing the initiative and dedication of team members. Spanning initiatives such as optimizing processes, introducing novel activities, and training prospective stakeholders in the tourism industry, these projects exemplified what can be accomplished with guidance and unwavering commitment. The horizon appears promising for the Go4Gold 2023 team participants, reflecting a future brimming with potential and possibilities.
