Further discounts for Gondwana Card holders

Written by Gondwana Collection | Oct 25, 2020 10:59:32 PM

Gondwana Collection Namibia now grants travellers from Namibia and the SADC region further 40 percent discount on dinners instead of the previous 25 percent. The offer is valid from 1 November 2020 to 31 January 2021.

The Gondwana Card, which was introduced in 2007 and has to date been issued to more than 80,000 travel enthusiasts in Namibia and southern Africa, proved to be a huge success. Small wonder, as Gondwana was the first tourism company to offer locals the opportunity to take a holiday with a 50% discount on bed and breakfast (40% for SADC citizens), another 25% off on dinner (now 40%!) and 25% off activities. The card was a brainchild of Gondwana’s Brand and Marketing Director Mannfred Goldbeck.

“While we were developing lodges near the main tourist attractions, we realised that most Namibians could not afford a holiday in their own country”, Goldbeck says. “The average income in Namibia and the SADC countries is significantly lower than for example in Europe where most of our guests come from. With the Gondwana Card initiative, Gondwana wanted to enable more people from Namibia and the region at large to travel our country - in order to increase awareness within society of the value of nature and its gentle utilisation for tourism.”

Gondwana Card holders are spoilt for choice with more than 30 unique accommodation establishments, which are located close to Namibia’s attractions.
