The Gondwana Care Trust Projects

Ladies Circle - Swakopmund 

Thanks to the Ladies Circle from Swakopmund, the Gondwana Care Trust was able to share the love with the children of the Etosha Region. 

The Ladies Circle collected hand-made beanies and entrusted the Gondwana Care Trust to share the items with some of the children in other regions. 

The children of the Etosha schools were the lucky beneficiaries and they were very grateful as the beanies not only protect them from the cold morning temperatures, but also keep them warm in the evening.

The Ladies Circle are looking for wool to make more beanies and blankets to donate to the elderly. Please contact caretrust@gcnam.com or Ladies Circle directly if you can assist. Left-over and little bits of wool will help towards making a warm blanket. THANK YOU!

HEAL THE LAND

Okahandja - Willie Theron 

Thanks to Pastor Theron, life is a little easier for the elderly members in Okahandja and the families who struggle from the effects of the pandemic and difficult economy. 

Please contact caretrust@gcnam.com if you want to donate some clothing, or other goods to Heal The Land.  

We constantly support the many organizations in that area with food, hygienic goods, second hand clothing (all size and gender). These go as far as the northern parts of Namibia, nearby Rundu. Warmth and care are all it takes to make another feel loved – Sharing is caring and if you have spare blankets and warm clothing, please contact us: caretrust@gcnam.com 

Elim Flats - Gobabis 

Food delivery is done thanks to some of our ambassadors driving the distance and taking the time to share the care and love. 

Thank you Mr & Mrs Von Reeken. We are very grateful for your time and care towards the Elim Flats residents. 

Zambezi Community

Linen and school items donation

Thank you to the Delight Swakopmund Hotel for the donation of much needed linen to the Zambezi Craft Makers (made out of mostly women) distributed to almost 80 women in the Zambezi region.  

The donation was distributed during the IRDNC’s monthly technical support visits to craft makers and the donation was well appreciated. It really motivated these women in continuing with their jobs. These craft makers currently supply the Mashi Craft Centre. Thank you Ms Janet Matota for your kind assistance in distributing the donations.

Over the past month, we also had two donations delivered in the Zambezi area, one from the Hakusembe Community Development Fund to support the Paukeni Kindergarten, and three schools in the Sikongo Village. Thank you to one of the Hakusembe guest for the donation of stationery items!
