Pastor Willie Theron has assisted the most vulnerable in the Okahandja district for many years. From children living on the streets of the town, to the elderlies and families going through difficult times, Pastor Theron delivers food hampers, groceries, and second-hand clothing and brings a message of hope wherever he travels to.

His assistance also includes Ovitoto and even reaches Mupapama in Rundu.

Pastor Theron drives to Windhoek once a week and picks up goods and groceries at the Gondwana Care Trust warehouse. He then delivers the goods on behalf of other organizations based in Okahandja.

Without good Samaritans willing to assist us with transportation and delivery, we are sometimes restricted in sharing the goods. We are very grateful to all our good Samaritans for their support.

Light of Hope

Light of Hope is an organization providing basic health check-ups to children and a change of clothes. In the pictures below, Back-to-School Christmas Bags and hot dogs are distributed to the children living on the dumping sites.

Thanks to the donations from Checkers Maerua Mall, the Gondwana Care Trust distributed over 1 000 hot dogs to various organizations in early December 2022.

Light of Hope was one of the beneficiaries and they kindly distributed the hotdogs to the children living in the rubbish dumpsite in Okahandja.

Many children live in the streets and many stay near the dumpsite in search of food and other goods.

Light of Hope provides the children with regular check-ups, clothing and a warm meal. Thanks to the MealForTwo, we are able to assist Light of Hope on a monthly basis with groceries so that the children can look forward to a meal and for a few hours, receive some care and love.
