A social media platform is used, in a business sense to interact with people like you. It is used to share news, stories, specials on products or services and all the latest information to keep you updated.

We have gone through the Gondwana Facebook page and have chosen 8 Facebook posts that were successful. This means a photo which received a lot of likes, shares and comments, has touched you, our fans, in one way or another.

I have analyzed each photo to see why this specific post not only enticed you but why it created a bit of a stir in our Facebook fan community.

The Heading : At which Gondwana Lodge can you experience such an atmosphere while having dinner?

This photo was taken at Namib Desert Lodge and showcases the perfect evening ambiance with a tickle of romance created by the soft lighting. It’s an outdoor dinner setting giving you a chance to breathe in crystal clear air, while the wind softly braces your cheek as you sip on a glass of red wine.  Can you relate to such an experience?

The Heading : We like to invite you to share this stunning image taken near Namib Desert Lodge with your best friend.

Aristotle says: “Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies”.  This image portrays the perfect idea of a friendship – it represents everything a friendship should be: closeness, affection, togetherness. Even though they are both looking the other way, this can also be seen as keeping a lookout for trouble that may be lurking behind them.

Most of all, friendship is traveling together. This can be literal or symbolic: whether you get on a plain to somewhere exotic or just traveling the roads of life together.

The Heading : Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience at the Namib Dune Star Camp.

Do I even have to explain this image to you? It is the perfect getaway, the chance to unpack your suitcase of troubles and cast it to the wind. Let your soul fly on the wings of the clear blue skies and give your mind a break at Namib Dune Star Camp.

The Heading : Like this post if you are a fan of camping & the Fish River Canyon in Namibia.

Fish River Canyon

The Fish River Canyon gives you a new perspective on life as you peek over the edge into a natural wonder of Namibia. Standing on the edge makes you realize how small you are in comparison to the world at the same time in retrospect you also realize, that each and every day is not a given, but should be appreciated and lived to the fullest extent.  Another great aspect if this photo is the magical activity called camping. It’s the easiest way to get so close to nature that you can almost hear the lyrics to the cricket’s song.

The Heading : Dear Fans, at which Gondwana Collection Namibia lodge can you experience such a shower.

Etosha Safari Camp

This is the perfect illustration of what fun is.  I bet when you stand in this shower you can’t help but giggle every time you look up, right? The only thing missing is a theme song. Perhaps Bobby Darin’s song, Splish splash.

The Heading : What food to eat in Namibia?

It is true that Namibia has vast and open spaces, endless vistas and world-renowned attractions, but we also have great food. From delicacies like biltong, we also have a variety of deliciously prepared game such as Springbok, Eland, and Oryx. Apart from this our countries delights such as vetkoek and mince or traditional dishes like tripe and wild spinach, will have your mouth-watering for more.

If there is one thing that makes a Namibian happy: it is rain. Yes, we love it so much that we will sit and watch as it pours down, and then brag about it on Facebook and call all the neighbors to find out how much they had. For days to come, this will be the discussion around the Saturday barbecue, at the Sunday tea get together and at the kids’ play date. Why do we love it so much? Firstly it’s the smell. There is nothing sweeter than the smell of the first summer rains. Rain in Namibia is a promise of prosperity for the months ahead; it’s a symbol of hope to all living creatures and a sight to embrace. It is the core of our countries existence. It gives life.

The Heading : I do not want to miss a day in Africa. Do you agree with this statement?

Boat cruise at Hakusembe River Lodge

I have saved this one for last for a reason. Some people prefer the beautiful sight of a sunrise as it holds a promise to what the day might bring, but some prefer a sunset. Either way, whatever you prefer, a sunrise or a sunset, it’s beautiful. It fills your soul with acoustic sounds of tranquility and gives you the feeling that you belong. It’s soft and spectacular, warm and fiery, blazing and calm but mesmerizing in a mysterious way. It’s a day in Africa.
