If you’ve seen brightly coloured, branded shuttles gliding through Windhoek after dark, you’re not imagining things. Gondwana Collection Namibia has officially launched its latest promotion - the Tourist Shuttle: Hop’n’Go2.
This free shuttle service is a fresh extension of Gondwana’s Tourism Heroes campaign, introduced in 2023 to recognise and support the people and organisations who champion safety, hospitality, and kindness in Namibia’s tourism landscape. While Tourism Heroes shines a light on those going above and beyond, Hop’n’Go2 brings that same spirit to life on the streets – transforming a simple city ride into a safe, enriching experience that connects visitors to Namibia’s culture, communities, and the broader Gondwana ecosystem.

The shuttle loops between Windhoek’s top hotels, restaurants, and nightlife spots, but it’s about much more than just getting from A to B. Passengers receive curated maps, traveller guides packed with cultural insights and eco-conscious travel tips, and easy access to additional services through QR codes on board. Here’s the twist: Hop’n’Go2 isn’t a service you can book. For a limited time, these shuttles will be cruising Windhoek’s city centre in the evenings only. Need more structured travel? Gondwana’s Go2 Shuttle service, accessible via Namibia2Go, continues to offer reliable, bookable transport throughout Windhoek and across the country.

At its core, Hop’n’Go2 is about one powerful thing: safety. But in true Gondwana style, safety is delivered with storytelling, warmth, and a touch of fun. For travellers, it’s simple: no bookings, no cost, no hassle – just a safe ride that shares a story. For the tourism industry, it’s a bold reminder that impact doesn’t always mean tech-heavy – sometimes it’s just a brightly branded shuttle with a brilliant idea.
