Do you also have that favourite culinary television programme you cannot get enough of, like Food Network’s Siba’s Table? After watching an episode, I often make my way to the kitchen and glance through the kitchen cupboards for ingredients to replicate the Asian Glazed Gammon that I had just witnessed and drooled over.
A few or most refer to themselves as a ‘masterchef’, after having added a combination of condiments like ‘kapana spice’, ginger, rosemary, thyme, basil or oregano into a saucepan. Or simply sliding a baking dish into the oven lined up with diced or sliced sweet potatoes, butternuts, asparagus and eggplant. – An impromptu snap shot for their Instagram following is a ‘must’. But I doubt this is what Gordon Ramsay refers to as a master chef, yet in Namibia anything is possible.
In Namibia, we have a melting pot of cultures and this too allows for an array of local cuisines.
It creates an opportunity to learn about one another and allows us to value that which makes us all unique. – As it was through many themed dinner club evenings that I learned about new cultures, cuisines, and also made a couple of new friends.

As usual food tastes better when it’s shared! Whether you are following a specific diet it does not mean that you have to eat alone because food is all about spending time with others.
