The new iPad application, introduced by the Gondwana Collection Namibia, presents the lodge group’s accommodation facilities in Namibia and offers the opportunity to book in real time. Picture galleries, 360° virtual tours and brief descriptions of the 13 Gondwana lodges contribute to the thrill of the forthcoming Namibia trip and foster a desire to experience Namibia’s natural landscape, unique culture and rich history at Gondwana Collection’s signature lodges.
The Gondwana app makes dreams come true – dreams of grand landscapes, a rich fauna and unforgettable experiences.
The application is linked to Gondwana’s website (www.gondwana-collection.com) which, among others, contains valuable information on Namibia’s sights and private nature reserves of the Gondwana Collection. Namibia enthusiasts will also have access to information on the history and culture of our country.
With this user-friendly application the Managing Director of the Gondwana Collection Namibia, Mannfred Goldbeck, is breaking the mould in online marketing: “We not only want to make it easier for prospective visitors to Namibia to plan their trip, but we also want to be a reliable travel companion during their stay in our multifaceted country. By linking our app to Google Maps and social networks like Facebook and Twitter we are able to keep our visitors constantly up to speed with topical developments.”
It is largely thanks to Frank Sillen of Your World Publishers that the idea of a Gondwana app became a reality. Search for “Gondwana Collection” in the app store for iPads. The Gondwana app is also an integrated part of the official Namibia app “Discover Namibia” by the Namibia Tourism Board.
“The application of the Gondwana Collection is a real asset to our Namibia app”, says Maureen Posthuma, Area Manager Europe of the Namibia Tourism Board. “I would even say that it sets new standards for our future demands and I want to congratulate those who designed the application as well as the entire team of the Gondwana Collection. We are extremely pleased that we have gained Gondwana as a partner.”
